No matter what month the calendar reads, we always love the bright textures and colours of spring. So much interior inspiration can be found from the wondrous outdoors and personally, we're dreaming of fresh pastel colors and indoor greenery. One of our interior designers, Jeni Madden, has provided you with bright tips for embracing nature at home.
1. Flowers, flowers and more flowers!I love daffodils and I like to buy multiple bunches and put them in a textured rustic earthenware large jug. Simple but effective.
2. Come into the jungle!
Single stems of greenery in long glass vases instantly bring the outside in. The jungle look is getting big and there are some great faux flowers and greenery around now - eucalyptus branches or faux pussy willow from Cox & Cox, or blowsy leaves from Abigail Ahern are all great options.
3. Accessorise with spring colours
Invest in some new accessories in clear sharp spring pastels such as the Sports Lux Geo cushion from Made. If these are too sweet for your taste try Mint cushions to add a zesty hit against blush pink and other neutrals.
4. Leaf and flower accessories
If you don't have green fingers and faux plants aren't your thing, bring the outside in with flower and leaf accessories. Botanicals in simple frames look great when displayed in a small, uneven cluster.
5. Re think your display
We all have little pieces that make a home unique. And like the constant changes in Nature, it can be good to stop and look at these displays and re-organize them. I collect wooden birds from car boot sales and it's amazing how you stop seeing these things around you after a time. I try to re-edit them once a year by creating new groupings and moving them around so you can see and enjoy them with fresh eyes.
